Fingr Painting
Biometric art - now you can have more talent in your little finger than Andy Warhol.
Fingr is a program that analyzes biometric data - your fingerprint - and instantly creates an image based on the biometric data that is received by a fingerprint reader (you can pick up one for about $60 from Dick Smith). It was developed using C# and the GrFinger SDK. Tolerance, brightness, contrast, circle diameter and image dimension variables ensure an infinite number of images are possible.
I had been kicking around the idea of biometric art since 2004 when I bought my fingerprint reader, however at that time the SDK made available by Digital Persona cost over $15,000, it wasn't until last year that I revisited the idea seriously and discovered the GrFinger SDK - which is free!
Update: Digital Persona are now offering a simple SDK for free.
